I weave on marae and visit regular weaving hui where I can, this enables me to share with others and continue to learn.
Being part of the National Weavers Collective keeps me in touch with what is happening around the country and their bi-annual hui is an eagerly awaited event. It is humbling to see those great weavers and some of the masterpieces they complete and there is always something new to see and learn.
Being part of other weavers collectives means that we can exhibit together and plan trips to other roopu or museums to further our knowledge. These and some online groups are a great place to swap ideas and ask for help!
